Wild Things and Dragon Snatcher

Last night was an evening of concerts. The first was done by the 5th grade classes at St. Columbkille as they told the story of the Wild Things.

The second performance was by the 6th grade class on The Dragon Snatcher.

Halloween at Papillion Manor

On Wednesday the 5th grade students from St. Columbkille Catholic School took a walking field trip to Papillion Manor - dressed in their Halloween costumes.

The residents were prepared with treats for our visitors.

 It was a good visit for both the residents and our students.

Field Day II

While the 8th graders led the younger classes in Field Day, the 5th, 6th and 7th graders spent their Field Day in the park.

Mr. Cunningham emphasized thinking with his activities.

Cinco de Mayo

 The Fifth Grade Classes celebrated 

Cinco de Mayo a little early last week.

 It was full of fun!

Adoration Training

During Catholic Schools Week, Fr. Vogel explained Benediction to the 5th and 6th grade classes. Although students had experienced Benediction before, this was a chance for Fr. Vogel to explain exactly what happens during Benediction and why we do it the way we do. After the explanation, they prayed together.

Trick or Treatin' at Papillion Manor

This afternoon the 5th grade classes at St. Columbkille Catholic School put on their Halloween costumes and took a field trip.

 Over the river ...

 ... and through the woods ...

... to Papillion Manor they went.

There they did some trick or treating ...

 ... and interacting with residents.

If they paid attention, they learned who had three children attend St. Columbkille Catholic School, who fought in Korea, and who grew up on a farm and never went trick or treating as a child.

It was a very fun trip!
