Field Day II
While the 8th graders led the younger classes in Field Day, the 5th, 6th and 7th graders spent their Field Day in the park.
Field Day
The 8th grade students at St Columbkille Catholic School led the Kindergarten through 4th grade students in Field Day on Wednesday. It all began with prayer ...
... and the running of the Field Day Torch.
Students were grouped with 8th
grade leaders for the activities.
Some games required teamwork and strategy.
Who do you think won the tug of war each time?
The 8th graders or the younger kids?
If you said the younger kids, you were right!
Field Day was full of fun!

Field Day
Today was Field Day at St. Columbkille Catholic School.
For those in Kindergarten to 4th grade, Field Day is led by our 8th grade students. Part of that is leading the rest of the students in prayer, the pledge of allegiance and the national anthem before we begin. It is also planning and leading all of the games. Students are matched in groups that put them with students from other classes and other grades. Each group is led by two 8th graders who take them from activity to activity.
Those in 5th to 7th grade went to Halleck
Park for their own competitions.

It's a time full of victories ...
... on a wonderfully warm day.

Field Day
Opening ceremonies for Field Day include prayer,
the pledge of allegience, and a torch carrier.
For grades K-5, Field Day is run by the 8th grade
students. They run the activities and shepherd
groups of students between activities.
The Students in grades 6 & 7 had their own activities.
It was all fun.
