We Were Blessed by Fr Steve

“Father Steve is an absolute gift and blessing to our community.”

Gross High School president Dorothy Ostrowski said that about Fr. Steve's presence at Gross High School, but it very true of us here at St. Columbkille as well. For ten years St. Columbkille Parish has been blessed to have Fr. Steve Emanuel celebrate weekened and Holy Day liturgies with us. In his bulletin pastor's letter, Fr. Gerald Gonderinger had announced that Fr. Steve Emanuel will be his replacement at St. Mary's parish in West Point as well as work with Guardian Angels Central Catholic.

We can't help but be pleased for the parishioners at St Mary's in West Point. His leadership and experience in Catholic Education will be a blessing for them.

Here's a post about Fr Steve and his award from Boystown a few years back.

Here's an article about Fr Steve from a year and a half ago.

Here's the speech he gave on behalf of those honored as Educators and/or Administrators at the 2013 Archbishop's Dinner for Education:

  1. Happy for St Mary's in West Point but so sad for St Columbkille! I've so enjoyed Father Steve's homily's on Sundays - he will truly be missed. Loosing both him & Father Damien - just too much!
