St. Columbkille Class of 2017

Last night the Class of 2017 celebrated mass and their graduation ceremony from St. Columbkille School. The students were able to see each other all together one last time. The students will split off to many different schools next year to begin their high school journeys -- Papillion North & South, Gross Catholic, Prep, Marian, Mercy, Duchesne Academy, Central High and Gretna. We wish them the best in this next chapter and look forward to seeing what the future holds for each of them.

Congratulations to the Class of 2017!
May God bless you all in your high school adventure.

Dinner & Dance

A long-standing tradition at St. Columbkille School is the 8th Grade Dinner & Dance.  This year's event was held on Friday, May 12th. Students, along with their parents, receive memory books, take pictures, enjoy a delicious dinner and spend time socializing with one another. The evening festivities included two speeches from members of the soon-to-be graduating class and a memory video comprised of photos from the students' many years at St. Columbkille. Following the dinner, the students were able to "cut loose" during the dance, which was chaperoned by seventh grade parents. The Class of 2017 will graduate from St. Columbkille on Tuesday, May 23rd.

This year's theme "Life with Christ is a Wonderful Adventure"
- St. Pope John Paul.

Dancing in the Parking Lot

Our parish line dancers needed to be relocated today.  The social hall is so heavily used that they needed to do their line dancing in the parking lot on this beautiful day. Fr. Dave was pleased that their dancing was today and not the day that we had the torrential rains.
This group and all of our senior exercise groups are very flexible -- perhaps it's because they do so much exercising! The displacement of our seniors might be one more reason that we need to expand our facilities.
