Catholic Communications Campaign

This weekend there will be a second collection for the Catholic Communications Campaign. This Collection supports the use of modern media, especially the Internet, but also radio, television and print, in proclaiming the Church’s message. Additionally, half of all donations that the diocese collects through the appeal stay in the diocese to fund local media projects.

Daily Readings. Accessible on www.usccb.org/nab, the daily liturgical readings from the New American Bible (NAB) are available as text, audio, podcasts and video reflections. The NAB page remains the most popular page on the Web site of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops—it accounts for approximately 50% of all visits to the site, totaling 47.5 million page views in 2008.

For Your Marriage Campaign. This campaign was launched in 2007 in accordance with the bishops’ National Pastoral Initiative for Marriage. The For Your Marriage Campaign uses public service announcements and offers multiple resources on http://www.foryourmarriage.org/ to help promote, strengthen and sustain marriage in the Church and in society.

Personally Speaking with Msgr. Jim Lisante. This weekly radio and television program features interviews with prominent people of faith in the fields of entertainment, religion, politics, sports, journalism and literature. Guests discuss how their faith relates to everyday matters. The program is distributed on Catholic radio stations and is available on iTunes and at www.usccb.org/ccc.
