With all the talk of Mrs. Overkamp retiring and Dr. Blue arriving, it's important that we not overlook another principal who was in charge last Friday.
Through the Ceili, one of our Fourth Graders served as Principal of the Day. Since she would like to be a teacher someday, it was fun for her to get a sense of what a school is like from another perspective.
She visited classrooms and got to see what was happening. She really found the second grade water project interesting.
Among the advantages of being principal of the day was the rule that no one can get the principal out during kickball. She also got to tell both of the fourth grade classes and the staff that they can have a jeans/spirit day today.
It was a treat to go out for lunch with her parents and another principal.
It was a memorable day.
