This is the 25th year Mrs. Loeffler and Mrs. English have been teaching 1st Grade side by side. Today we celebrated them.
Afterwards Mrs. English asked her class, "How did you keep this a secret?" Then added, "I thought the exciting thing about the assembly would be Mr. Makey and Fr. Dave getting a pie in their face. Instead there were 500 pictures of me and you know how I don't like pictures of me."
One of the gifts to Mrs. Loeffler and Mrs. English were these marble jars. Every current student at St. Columbkille Catholic School made a fingerprint of a marble in the class they attended.
What a wonderful and well-deserved tribute to these two beautiful ladies!! Their teaching skills truly model what our faith-filled first graders need with regard to helping them become followers of Jesus through their actions and words!!! So proud to know both of you and to call you my friends in this ever-changing teaching profession. Hope you have many more years in the classroom to build a mountain with marbles that students earn!! Blessings always, a retired friend
