Dr. Blue:
You weren't just our principal
You were approachable
You tied our shoes
You were ready for us
You were at our concerts
and our special events
You prepared us for graduation
You recognized and rewarded us
You were there for our First Day of School
You supported HSA at McDonalds
and Runza Night
and the Flower Sale
and Turkey Bingo
You were a valuable part of our staff
and encouraged us
We didn't know quite what to think of you three years ago
but right away you wanted to see what we were doing
We appreciated you and your qualities
and we shared that with you
We're blue today
It's hard to think of you on the sidelines of our lives
We'd like to give you one last hug goodbye
This year, well before anyone knew your cancer returned, you helped us put on emphasis on praying for one another. So we continue to pray for you. We hope you pray for us as well.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord
And let perpetul light shine upon her
May she rest in peace
Amen
May her soul and the souls of
all the faithful departed, through
the mercy of God, rest in peace
Amen
Your job is done good and faithful servant.
ReplyDeleteThank you for everything you did for the St. Columbkille school. May God reward you for your dedication to educating our children....and for being a disciple of Christ.
DeleteThank you, Dr. Blue. May you rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tribute. Thank you, Dr. Blue.
ReplyDeleteYour lovely tribute has been visited and treasured by staff at one of Dr. Blue's earlier schools. The qualities you documented where the same she shared with us.
ReplyDeleteCheryl Blue blended her love of children and education into a career that touched thousands. She left us too soon, but we know Jim was missing his beautiful lady.
These pictures are worth a thousand words. She was not only heard but seen. Dr. Blue made a difference at our school and valued our children and parents. May she rest in peace knowing she made a difference in the life a child.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Dr. Blue, for the impact you had on all who knew you. As parents at St. Columbkille, we got to see first-hand your amazing contributions to the future of our school and how much you cared about "your kids" and their parents and the staff. Rest in peace, dear friend.
