Today was set aside by Pope John Paul II as Divine Mercy Sunday. Interestingly, when he died it was the evening before this Sunday. It is a time when the faithful are asked to attend Mass, go to Confession and pray for the Holy Father's intentions within 20 days of this Sunday in order to receive the promises of Jesus.

Divine Mercy Sunday
