Priests Racing Priest -- Round III

In what has been an annual event, the gathering for
servers began with the priests racing go-carts.

Just like the previous two races, the priest
who started on the inside lane won.

But there was still plenty of excitement.

Congratulations Fr. Wee.
(He has won 2 of the three races.)

Clergy Retreat

Last weekend Fr Wee and our 12 deacons gathered at the Benedictine
Center in Schuyler. It was a time for them to gather, pray and
spend time together as they seek to grow in Christ.

New Email System

Over the weekend Fr. Damian, Fr. Wee and the parish staff had their emails systems transitioned to Google. The emails will all remain the same, but the hope is that this way Google will manage the virus protection for us.

So this week the priests and staff will be going through a learning curve as they adjust.

Praying as well as Playing

South of Papillion on 84th Street are the Athletic fields
which are being developed by the St. Columbkille Shepherds.

Within the woods there is a Prayer Garden.

It is a peaceful place for prayer.
Stop by sometime.

What Fr. Francis thought of our parish

Last weekend Fr. Francis spoke at all seven Masses about Kenya. Saturday night, after he had spoken at two Masses, he spoke about our parish.

"Even though your pastor is on vacation," Fr. Francis said full of excitement and animation, "I can tell what a great leader he is.  It is so wonderful to see how many of the lay people are involved with the Mass. They all know what needs to be done and they take care of it. This is the way it is supposed to be."

On Monday morning he said how much he enjoyed all the Masses. He said that the responses from the People of God during the Masses were so vibrant and heartfelt that it was uplifting for him to celebrate the Masses with our parish. We thank Fr. Francis for being with us as well.

Holy Hour and the Transfiguration

Although Fr. Wee leads a Holy Hour including Eucharistic Adoration the First Friday of every month, it seems especially appropriate this morning. Today we celebrate the Transfiguration when the apostles saw Jesus in his glory.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Fr. Wee

In June, Fr Wee acompanied two busloads of our parishioners as they spent the day at Worlds of Fun enjoying rides like the Ripcord

More Construction?

Just as the city finishes working on the
street, we're fixing up the east parking lot.

Last summer we were able to simply resurface
the west parking lot. But this side needs more work.

Weather permiting, it should be ready
for the weekend. Isn't that amazing?

Servers in Training

This month Fr. Wee has held a number of training sessions
with servers. He held one with new servers this morning.

He even demonstrated how to sit.

There was a lot of practise so each server
knows what to do when they get to the back table.

There was a lot of learning as the servers are
excited to be able to serve Christ in the Mass.
