Server Party

 The Server Party, held at Papio Fun Park, was a fun time for those who serve us to gather for fun together.

First Communion with Family

There was a First Communion this morning at the 10:30 Mass. It was done today so all his brothers could be there ...

 ... and it was great that his four brothers served for the Mass.

 

It gave them a close up view of the whole Mass.

The Servers Celebrate

The Server Party was yesterday at Papio Fun Park. It was a chance to get together, play, have fun, and even eat some pizza.

Training New Servers

Last night Fr Vogel was training new servers. He got them in albs and walked them through a hands on chance to see everything a server does in a daily Mass.

It's great to see so many of our youth anxious to serve!

The priests weren't the only ones to ride the go karts at the Server's Party. Servers were having fun all over the place.

 

 

 

Today's event was just a small gesture to express our thanks to all the servers for the hard work they put in over the course of the year.

The Race

The server party at Papio Fun Park yesterday

 included a race between the priests.

 

 

Fr Vogel said he thought Fr Damian's car was a little fast, but not fast enought to get around Fr Vogel on the outside. Fr Damian did crash once trying to get inside.

It was a good race!

Server Training

Especially with the changes in our worship space, Fr. Vogel wants to make certain they are all comfortable in our new arrangement.

This week he begins training for current servers as

well as training for those who wish to become servers.

Current Server Training options:

Wednesday August 1: 6:30 to 7 p.m.

Monday August 6: 6:30 to 7 p.m.

Tuesday August 7: 6:30 to 7 p.m.

Those entering grades 4 through 8 may attend training to become a new server (although current servers are welcome to attend as a refresher.) Training times are:

Monday July 30: 6:30 to 7:30

Tuesday July 31: 6:30 to 7:30

One parent must be present to complete and sign the required forms.

We greatly appreciate the servers

 who help with this important ministry.

Fr. Vogel is getting ready

It's less than a month to the August 1st

 Server's party at Papio Fun Park.

 Fr. Vogel has been practising to get ready for all the fun.

Now that Fr. Vogel has gotten warmed up, he'll be getting information out to the servers later this week.

Training Servers

 This week Fr. Vogel spent two evenings working with Servers.

 They went through the Mass and did everything

 they do during Mass, but in a relaxed setting.

On Monday he was working with current servers.

On Tuesday he was training new servers.

Training continues next week so everyone is refreshed before Lent.

6:30 to 7:30

This is open to anyone in 4th grade or older who would like to become a server. A parent is requested to come and fill out a form at the start of the session.

Tuesday, February 21

6:30 to 7:30

If any current servers were unable to attend the training this week, they are asked to attend Tuesday.
