What Fr. Francis thought of our parish

Last weekend Fr. Francis spoke at all seven Masses about Kenya. Saturday night, after he had spoken at two Masses, he spoke about our parish.

"Even though your pastor is on vacation," Fr. Francis said full of excitement and animation, "I can tell what a great leader he is.  It is so wonderful to see how many of the lay people are involved with the Mass. They all know what needs to be done and they take care of it. This is the way it is supposed to be."

On Monday morning he said how much he enjoyed all the Masses. He said that the responses from the People of God during the Masses were so vibrant and heartfelt that it was uplifting for him to celebrate the Masses with our parish. We thank Fr. Francis for being with us as well.

Going to Grand Island Monday?

This weekend Fr. Francis Nbolo will be visiting the parish to do a missionary appeal for his home Diocese of Kitui in Kenya, East Africa. Fr. Nbolo has been in the United States for over two years as he is studying for his Master's Degree in Counceling from Western Illinois University.

One Monday morning Fr. Francis needs a ride to the airport in Grand Island. His flight leaves at noon. Is anyone going out that way who could give him a ride?
