States Party

The First Grade classes received a postcard from all 50 states. So yesterday they had a 50 States Party. Students wore shirts representing states.

On maps, the class would color each state represented by their class.

Each class got one point for every state represented. If a state was represented more than once, the class didn't receive any more points for that, but they did get a point every time a student could name the capital of the state(s) the represented.

Then there were treats for the party.

Thank you to everyone who sent the classes
postcards or prepared the wonderful state snacks.

With a Marble Party two weeks ago, Valentine's Day last week
and the States Party yesterday, we wonder what will happen next week?
