Matthew Kelly Afterparty

In July Matthew Kelly spoke in the Ralston Arena.

Many of our parishioners were there. Fr. Dave has invited anyone who was there to a potluck meal at the Steinhausen Center on Friday, August 26th at 6 p.m. It will be a chance for us to discuss what happened and how we might use some of his general thoughts at St. Columbkille.

10 Years since Ordination

This evening Archbishop Lucas celebrated with those who were ordained deacons 40, 30, 20 or 10 years ago. One of those celebrating their 10th anniversary was Deacon David Krueger. Congratulations.

Just in Time

Last summer the roof in Deacon
 David's office started leaking.

While this was fixed, some of the leaking has continued. Recently water also leaked through the walls, to the electrical fixtures above Judy & Glenda's work space and right onto Glenda's desk one Sunday.

Eventually we would like to turn this building into additional parking, but now the roof needed some work. So Friday morning we had a roofing company in to reshingle.

They were surprised by the amount
of standing water & ice they found.

The work got done just before our
latest storm hit. So far, no leaks!

Ash Wednesday in the Preschool

Today is Ash Wednesday.  Deacon David came to Sacred Heart Preschool to help us learn a little more about this special day.

We said a prayer together.

Mrs. Henton received her ashes first, to show that there was nothing to be afraid of.

We all lined up to receive our ashes.

This Lent, we will try our best
to  do the things Jesus teaches.
