Raingutter Regatta

It was a day in the park for Cub
 Scouts from St. Columbkille.

They were there to compete in
the annual Raingutter Regatta.

All the races finished with chocolate!

The Cub Scouts will kick off their new year
on Monday at 7 p.m. in the Social Hall.

Raingutter Regata

Our Cub Scouts gathered for some splashpad fun and play...

 ... before getting some food.

Then it was time for the Raingutter Regata as contestants raced their sailboats.

It was an event so fun even
Fr Dave had to get in on it.

Keeping the Oath

The Scout Oath calls scouts “.. to help other people at all times” and Jesus repeatedly calls us to help the unfortunate.  Pack/Troop 359 put this into action recently as they gathered 1,354 items in their food drive during the rain last weekend.

Well Done!

Pinewood Derby

At the Pinewood Derby Saturday the contestants were introduced like rock stars.

Then the cars were lined up for race after race.

You could see the excitement on their faces.

The event was full of winners.

Constitution Day

In celebration of Constitution Day, some of our Cub Scouts raised and lowered the flag at the Education Center today.

They began by inspecting one another to make
certain they were all presentable for the ceremony.

They returned to lower the flag as well.

As one of the scoutmasters said,
"Lowering the flag is very uplifting."

Thank you for your service!

In 1987, on the 200th anniversary of the Constitution, St. John Paul II spoke on the importance of the Constitution and the Freedom it offers.

Scouts Locked In

Tonight the Cub Scouts are having their Blue - Gold Banquet. It seems like a good time to show some pictures from their lock-in last month.
