Within the Rite of Baptism there are blessings for the mother, the father and the assembly. Within the blessing of the father is says:
May He bless the father of this child. He and his wife will be the first teachers of their child in the ways of faith. May they also be the best of teachers, bearing witness to the faith by what they say and do.
As the first teachers in faith, last night parents brought their second grade children to learn about reconciliation.
In a series of stations each worked with their child to better understand what Reconciliation is all about.
It's good to see everyone
preparing for First Reconciliation.
