We ordered the altar

The new  altar, ambo and tabernacle will be constructed out of a dark grey granite. They have now been ordered as well.

 Above is a front and back view of the ambo.

New presider and diaconal chairs will be constructed to achieve

 a matching style between the chairs and the other pieces.

We're anxious to see it all in place

(which will be just before Christmas).

Fr Vogel at the Festival

 When Fr. Vogel wasn't winning the Helmet Challenge,

 or playing 3 on 3 basketball,

 

 he was climbing the rock wall like a squirrel or

 running the obstacle course or

eating.

The Festival was a busy place for Fr. Vogel.

Due to Popular Demand...

Because of people saying they'd still like to get in the directory, Lifetouch is returning in two weeks to take a few more directory pictures on Tuesday, October 9th and Wednesday, October 10th. There are just a few times available in the afternoon and evening. You can click here to sign up for a time. The pictures will be done in the Steinhausen Center.

WARNING: You have to choose how many are in your group before the screen will show that the 9th and 10th are available.

Question: "Why haven't they already printed the directory?"
Answer: The initial pictures were taken before the construction began and we didn't want to just have pictures of the "old" look in the directory. We don't feel we have time to wait until the new altar is dedicated in December, we did want to wait until we had some of the new look. Once the pictures are done on October 10th, we're moving forward so we can have the new directory out at the end of December/start of January.

A New Place to Sit

 Our new chairs arrived in parts.

The company put them together for us.

Nutrition Man and Dr. Exercise

Yesterday the second grade students at St. Columbkille Catholic School were treated to a performance by some actors from The Rose. They were able to learn about the Super Adventures of Nutrition Man and Dr. Exercise.

 While they did battle with the Fried

 Food Fairy and other villains ...

 

... they taught our students how to make good

 decisions so they can stay healthy themselves.

Climbing that Wall

From the cloudy morning until evening ...

... people were on the rock wall at the Festival.

 

 

 

 

 Mrs. Loefler, Mrs. Alcocer and Mrs. Puszewski

 all decided to climb -- while Mrs. Wilson watched.

Sunday morning we had a demonstration of Tai Chi.

 Then we had Polka Joy on hand.

 In the courtyard we had Irish Dancers ...

 ... all under the watchful eye of St. Columbkille.

 

We finished with entertainment from Connor Dowling.

Festival Fun

 Sunday was our parish's Family Fun Festival.

 

 

 

 

It was full of fun!
