Leaders of the School

The 8th graders at St. Columbkille Catholic School are expected to be leaders of the school. With that in mind they did a program for the rest fo the school just before the Christmas break.

They told of the ancestors or Jesus,

explained a symbol for each ...

... and how each is a part of the Jesse Tree.

Advent Prayer Service

Yesterday all the students at St. Columbkille

Catholic  School gathered for a prayer service ...

... that was led by our 8th graders.

They explained what a Jesse Tree is and told stories of some of the ancestors of Jesus who are part of the Jesse Tree.

They also lit an advent wreath as everyone sang and prayed.

The Tree of Jesse

Mrs. Taylor's Kindergarten class studied the Tree of Jesse. The promise of Jesus coming was promised long ago as God promised time and time again to send us the Prince of Peace. And in the birth of Jesus, that promise was fulfilled.

Merry Christmas!
