National Jr. Honor Society

Monday the Sacred Heart Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society gathered to install new members.

It began with prayer.

Current members lit a candle, representing the five characteristics of a member as well as explaining them. They are Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Citizenship, and Character.

Mr. Makey spoke to the group about leadership.

Helping Heartland Family Services

The National Junior Honor Society at St. Columbkille Catholic School raised funds and presented a check to Donna Dostal of Heartland Family Services to help them in their work.

An AKT of Kindness

Acts of Kindness Through Service (A.K.T.S.) is a student led leadership and service club of 7th and 8th graders at St. Columbkille Catholic School.

Last Friday after school, members of A.K.T.S. got

 together with members of the National Junior Honor

 Society to make 20 blankets for the Linus Project.

These blankets will be given to sick or hurt children.

 Thank you for helping others!

National Junior Honor Society

This afternoon the Sacred Heart Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society met.

Like all good things, it began with prayer.

 Current members lit a candle, representing the five characteristics of a member. They are Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Citizenship, and Character.

Mrs. Monico reminded the students that they did not achieve this on their own. They should thank God and their parents for their help. In years to come, when they are tempted to think otherwise, they should recall that their parents always have their best interests at heart.
