Welcome Fr Jason

Fr. Jason Singalness is a seminary classmate of Fr. Vogel. He stopped to visit and con-celebrated Mass with Fr. Vogel this morning. In the Bismarck, North Dakota diocese he is the pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul in Strasburg, St. Mary in Hague and St. Michael in rural Linton. Strasburg is the hometown of Lawrence Welk. Fr Jason said there are often visitors to the sod house where the Welk family once lived.

It was great to have him stop by our parish on his way to visit Kenrick Seminary in St. Louis. We pray he has a good and safe vacation.

Fr Wee on the Holy Land

Monday night Fr Damien Wee was able to visit and tell about his trip to the Holy Land last year. He said he wants to share his pictures and videos with people who have never been able to go.

In the picture above he holds a portable altar cloth that he inherited from a seminarian classmate, Fr. Matthew, who passed away a few years after ordination. Fr. Wee was not only able to bring the clothe along, he was able to lay it on the tomb at the Holy Sepulcher where Jesus was.

3 on 3 Basketball

Part of the Festival Sunday was the 3 on 3 basketball tournament.

Besides being fun to play ...

... it was great having some Creighton players as referees!

Library Visits

The preschool has partnered with the Sump
Memorial Library for a monthly activity.

We enjoy stretching our legs and noticing the
change of seasons on our walk to story time.

Once inside, we listen to stories and
participate in finger plays and songs.

We are already looking forward to next month!
